2020 - “Sithee”

As the sun sets on 2020, it seems that these trying times aren’t finished with us just yet and right now the new year doesn't quite hold its usual promise and prospects.

But though there might not be as many “new year, new me!” posts and that kiss at midnight seems unlikely (and considering the situation, frankly irresponsible) I still maintain hope for the coming twelve months.

Our work was just one of the countless positive things forged out of the difficult circumstances of 2020, and so I can only envision there is more of that to come in 2021. With that in mind, on behalf of The Merrie Collective I would like to thank everyone who supported us in 2020. Not only the invaluable contributions made by Wakefield Council and The Art House, but everyone who picked up a copy of “This Too Shall Pass”, popped along to one of our exhibitions or even just liked one of our social media posts; our work wouldn’t have been possible without your support.

Keep an eye out for future Merrie projects coming soon. Ryan x
