CREATIVE PROGRAMME
IN THE DARK - ARTWALK WAKEFIELD
In an evening dedicated to the possibilities of photography, we present a celebration of analogue techniques. Our studio workspace will showcase our recent experiments, while the gallery space will facilitate a camera obscura, bringing the outside in. This event has been supported by Yorkshire Visual Arts Network (YVAN) as part of their Nourish Programme.

ARTWALK WAKEFIELD MAY 2021
An evening of great chat and making, as Merrie Studios finally saw Wakefield residents again, initiating our first in-person Artwalk of 2021. Showcasing The Mother exhibition in the gallery and the first of many collective conversations, as we ask: what are you saying?

ARTWALK WAKEFIELD MARCH 2021
Our project "See you on the other side" was featured in April 2021 Artwalk Wakefield, on show at Merrie Studios. The poster features 30 Polaroids from a vintage camera which was passed between members as we moved into the new year, hopeful for what that might bring. It’s a celebration of the lo-fi purity and uniformity of Polaroid, as we leave you with the message ‘see you on the other side’.
